Why Surface Repair Is Different

Microsoft Surface devices are notoriously difficult to repair.  Their screens are thinner than an iPad's, which means a technician working on something as routine-sounding as a battery replacement genuinely needs to know what they are doing.  It is a big part of why a lot of shops turn Surface repair work away entirely.
